Our practice nurses are seen by appointments made at reception. They help in health promotion in addition to general nursing duties. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Practice Management

The Practice Manager is responsible for managing the work of all clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure service delivery in practice and all operational aspects within a specified practice/s to achieve excellent customer service, quality, cost and delivery performance in line with company strategy, goals and values. Provide support and direction to enhance performance, skills and knowledge of practice staff within the practice/s. To work closely with the organisation to deliver a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care. If you have a complaint, criticism or suggestion please ask at reception to speak to her. Your views are always welcome and help us provide the best possible service to our patients.

Diane is a registered nurse (RMN) and a specialist practitioner in Community Mental Health. You can be referred to Diane through your doctor and therefore arrange an appointment through reception. Clinics are on Monday mornings 09:00 – 12:00 and Monday afternoons 12:30 – 15:30.
