Telephone lines
Please be aware that from 1:00pm on a Wednesday and Thursday, our telephone lines will be redirected to our out-of-hours service, BADGER, for any afternoon same-day Appointments. The Practice will continue to take calls for any other requests, including appointment requests for the following days. The clinicians at the surgery will continue to see pre-booked patients on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon. The practice will remain open throughout the day from 08:00am to 06:30pm on these days.
Enhanced access at Yardley Green Medical Centre
As part of Enhanced services access, we are open on every Thursday between 6:30pm to 8pm and every Saturday between 10am to 2pm. During this extended hours, our clinicians provide support for pre-booked appointments. However the surgery telephone is diverted to our out of hours service provider to ensure all patients care is covered. If you would like to know more details about the enhanced access, please speak to reception team at Yardley Green Medical Centre.
If you need help when we are closed
When the Surgery is closed, the out of hours service is provided by Badger Medical Services BADGER stands for Birmingham and District General Practitioner Emergency Rooms.
In the event of severe chest pain, breathlessness, collapse or heavy bleeding it is often best not to delay but dial 999 for an ambulance. It is also best to go casualty in cases of poisoning (including overdose) or accidents.
